MEMORY OF THE VIRGEN DE GUADALUPE FESTIVAL IN SUCRE, BOLIVIA – 2012

SUCRE, BOLIVIA SEPT 2012

Bolivia is probably one of the countries that celebrate their traditional textiles so holy and with very high appreciation and respect. These photos were taken in Sucre during my visit there in Sept 2012. Exploring the “La Missiones” route and visiting many amazing cities such as Sucre and Santa Cruz, was truly unforgettable. It was a great pity that my Spanish is so poor, that I couldn’t really communicate very intimately with the people in the villages. I promise to learn this language, and on my next visit, I would love to be able to learn a lot more about their textiles.

These photos showing Bolivian traditional textiles, displayed at the Virgen De Guadalupe Festival in Sucre that year.

Come to Bolivia, a really wonderful country.
