IGTHAM MOTE – OUR SECOND VISIT, 5TH SEPTEMBER 2021

Our 1st visit to Igtham Mote a few years ago was truly memorable, educational and inspirational.  I love British historical buildings,  and Ightham Mote is one of the best Tudor houses I have ever seen in Britain, this place will take you on a journey back to the 14th century. This visit is our second visit now, on the gorgeous late summer/early autumn day, Igtham Mote offers so much both in the garden and in the house.

We joined the house tour on this visit, it was amazing. There are tours throughout the day, and I recommend you join one of them. The tour will give you every historical detail about Igtham Mote, as you are taken to various rooms and given a detailed history of each of them. Is like you are being taken back to the past, giving you a deep sense of history. Apparently, It was built by medieval knights, taken on by Tudor courtiers at that time.  If you want to know more about Igtham Mote in detail, please check out this link, in Wikipedia,  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ightham_Mote . The last private owner of Igtham Mote was Charles Henry Robinson who purchased the house in 1953 for just £400. Imagine that!! Find out more about Mr Robinson here, a generous businessman that inspired every visitor to Igtham Mote.

To find out more about the place and how to get there, please visit the National Trust website, providing all these details for visitors – https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/ightham-mote

Thank you for stopping by,

Happy Travel!!
